Job Experience & Skills Required
- BCom Accounting, Finance, or a related qualification (CIMA, SAIPA certifications advantageous)
- 35 years experience in reinsurance accounting within a life or general insurance environment
- Solid understanding of reinsurance treaties (proportional and non-proportional), premiums, and claims processing
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 and other insurance accounting standards
- Proficiency in systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other insurance-specific finance platforms
- Strong reconciliations, reporting, and ledger management experience
