About the Opportunity
Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Old Age Home in Heilbron, Free State , for a qualified and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their nursing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to residents, monitoring their ongoing clinical needs, administering medication, maintaining accurate clinical records, and supporting their overall health, comfort, and well-being.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a Registered Nurse who has a genuine passion for working with elderly residents and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care & Clinical Nursing
Provide professional nursing care to residents.
Conduct nursing assessments and monitor residents' health and clinical needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualised nursing care plans.
Monitor vital signs and identify changes in residents' health conditions.
Perform wound care and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
Assist with the management and monitoring of chronic health conditions.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in residents' clinical condition.
Coordinate referrals and further medical intervention where required.
Medication Management
Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately.
Maintain accurate medication administration records.
Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions.
Ensure medication is stored, controlled, and managed according to applicable requirements and facility procedures.
Multidisciplinary Care
Liaise with Medical Doctors and other healthcare professionals regarding residents' clinical needs.
Coordinate continuity of care and follow-up treatment.
Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents and their families.
Work collaboratively with nursing staff, caregivers, and management.
Clinical Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate and confidential nursing and resident records.
Complete clinical documentation, nursing notes, and incident reports.
