- Our client is part of a large motor holding company in East Africa. They are looking for an experienced Regional Spare Parts Manager with relevant experience with the Automotive Industry. The suitable applicant should have had dealings with OEM's and dealership networks and have experience in management.
- This position requires some travel into East Africa approx. 3-4 working days of a month.
Duties would include, but are not limited to
Oversight of the Spare Parts Business for various East African country dealerships:
- Oversee management of the process of Spare Parts ordering for the region.
- Oversee Inventory planning for territories and networks
- Execute inventory management tasks aimed at improving Spare Parts service levels and reducing obsolescence
- Review and asses daily stock ordering and replenishment requirements throughout network.
- Measure Spare Parts performance in territories and ensure that parts availability targets are met by formulating action plans, communicating them, and highlighting concerns.
- Assistance with spare parts store process implementation / training / monitoring
- Ensure company policies relating to Spare Parts are implemented and adhered to.
- Volume target setting assistance and follow up.
- Present information and recommendations demonstrating methodology and logic throughout the parts business.
- Facilitate the training and development of team members in the territory.
- Provide advice and assistance to team members.
- Ensure management of Spare Parts function, to ensure delivery of high level, quality service, and on time delivery of service to customers to ensure growth and expansion to achieve targets.
- Spare Parts Marketing
- Assistance with spare parts new store implementation.
- Ensure Spare Parts training is delivered to the territory according to needs identified and annual budget plan.
Skills and experience required
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years' Spare Parts experience in Motor Industry / Dealership environment.
- At least 5 - 10 years' experience in management
- Experience in Management Reporting, Business Plan development, Process Management, and meeting revenue and budget targets
Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
- Relevant degree / diploma.
