Our client is a fast-growing FMCG distributor operating across Southern Africa. We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth, lead a high-performing field team and manage key customer relationships across the Western Cape.
Key Responsibilities
· Own regional sales targets, revenue growth and territory strategy.
· Develop new business across retail, wholesale, forecourt and independent trade.
· Manage and grow key accounts including SPAR, Pick n Pay, Shoprite and major forecourt groups.
· Lead, coach and manage regional sales representatives and merchandisers.
· Drive distribution, product availability, merchandising and in-store execution.
· Monitor competitor activity, pricing, sales performance and market opportunities.
· Manage regional forecasting, reporting and KPI performance.
· Build strong relationships with wholesalers, independent retailers and key decision-makers.
· Work closely with Finance, Marketing and Operations to support regional growth.
Requirements
· Minimum 5 years’ regional sales management or senior FMCG key account experience.
· Proven, measurable track record of delivering sales growth.
· Experience managing a large, geographically dispersed sales territory.
· Strong experience with major retail and forecourt accounts.
· Proven experience managing and developing a field sales team.
· Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills.
· Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or similar.
· Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
· Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Western Cape.
Advantageous
· Experience in nicotine, vaping, tobacco or other regulated FMCG categories.
· Established Western Cape buyer and trade relationships.
· Distributor/sub-distributor management experience.
· Experience launching new products and working in a high-growth environment.
· CRM/ERP experience.
