- We are looking for an experienced Regional Nursing Supervisor to provide operational and supervisory leadership across multiple healthcare sites in the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational performance across assigned sites.
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor operational standards.
- Implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Supervise nursing and operational staff, including Sisters in Charge, relief nurses and phlebotomists.
- Monitor staffing levels, rosters, attendance and performance.
- Coach and mentor staff and assist with recruitment and disciplinary processes.
- Monitor laboratory service performance, specimen collection standards, turnaround times and quality indicators.
- Ensure appropriate specimen handling and support laboratory quality programmes.
- Conduct regional audits and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance, investigate incidents and complaints, and escalate operational or clinical risks.
- Monitor stock, consumables, equipment, expenditure and wastage.
- Travel between sites within the region and provide operational support where required.
Requirements
- Relevant healthcare or laboratory qualification with SANC/HPCSA registration.
- Management qualification would be advantageous.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant laboratory experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience with responsibility for 10+ staff.
- Strong leadership, operational, quality and compliance experience.
