We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead operational excellence, drive financial performance, and foster client growth across our Logistics business units.
In this role, you will take full P&L accountability for the region, optimize end-to-end branch operations, manage high-performing teams, and deliver world-class service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operational & Risk Management: Oversee daily operations, ensure ISO quality compliance, optimize asset utilization, manage security and claims processes, and implement robust contingency plans.
Financial & P&L Leadership: Drive branch bottom-line growth, prepare and manage regional budgets, optimize client margins, mitigate customs and credit risks, and oversee debtor/creditor resolutions.
Staff Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and performance-manage multi-skilled teams. Drive change management, set clear KPIs, and build a culture of continuous improvement and high engagement.
Client Satisfaction & Retention: Maintain strong client relationships, monitor performance against service-level KPIs, implement process improvement initiatives, and address revenue variations.
Sales & Business Growth: Partner with Sales Managers to oversee targets, review tenders and proposals, attend key sales calls, and ensure smooth client onboarding.
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships and performance with third-party service providers, subcontractors, customs authorities (SARS), and overseas agents.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education: Grade 12 / Senior Certificate + an appropriate Tertiary Degree or National Diploma (Qualifications in Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or Operations Management preferred).
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Supply Chain industry.
Leadership Track Record: Proven history of leading branch/regional managers, multi-skilled teams, and driving organizational change initiatives.
Tech Literacy: Computer literate with strong proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, alongside core operational/freight management systems.

Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Strong logical problem-solving skills with a focus on cost reduction, margin optimization, and P&L control.
Client-Centric Focus: Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills to manage complex internal and external client dynamics.
Adaptability & Drive: High energy levels, strong stress tolerance, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strategic Planning: Excellent time management, organizational capability, and high work standards.
