REGIONAL GENERAL MANAGER - KZN

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, business growth, and client success? Hero Serv Pty Ltd is seeking a Regional General Manager to lead operations across KwaZulu-Natal.

This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing regional performance, driving business development, building stakeholder relationships, ensuring financial sustainability, and leading high-performing teams across multiple sites.

As this role operates extensively throughout KwaZulu-Natal, candidates must be fluent in isiZulu and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, employees, communities, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operational and commercial performance of the KZN region.

• Drive service excellence, profitability, and operational efficiency across multiple sites.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare stakeholders, and business partners.

• Lead, coach, and support Regional Managers, Site Managers, and operational teams.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

• Monitor financial performance, budgets, labour costs, and operational efficiencies.

• Drive business development initiatives and identify opportunities for regional growth.

• Build and strengthen networks with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential clients across KZN.

• Fluent in isiZulu and English (written and verbal) with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across KwaZulu-Natal.

• Support tender submissions, client presentations, contract negotiations, and retention strategies.

• Manage client concerns and escalations to ensure exceptional service delivery.

• Travel extensively throughout KZN to support sites, clients, and business development activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Healthcare Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

• Valid driver's licence, own reliable vehicle and willingness to travel extensively throughout KZN.

• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a senior management or regional leadership role.

• Experience within healthcare, hospital services, catering, facilities management, or a related environment.

• Proven experience managing multi-site operations, client relationships, and service delivery contracts.

• Demonstrated experience in business development, networking, and stakeholder management.

• Strong commercial, financial, and operational management skills.

• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.
