An exciting Senior Leadership opportunity is available with a well-established organisation operating within the Maritime sector for an experienced and commercially driven Regional General Manager to lead and oversee regional operations in Gauteng. This is a strategic senior-career position suited to an accomplished leader with 6–10 years’ relevant management experience, who has the ability to take ownership of regional performance, lead high-performing teams and drive operational and commercial objectives. Duties & Responsibilities
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline
- 6–10 years’ proven senior management experience, preferably within a complex operational, industrial, logistics, maritime or engineering environment
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and operational functions
- Strong commercial and financial understanding
- Proven ability to drive operational performance and business growth
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong strategic planning and decision-making capability
- Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational level
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the assigned region
- Take accountability for regional operational performance and business objectives
- Lead, motivate and develop management and operational teams.
- Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, costs and profitability
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders and business partners
- Identify opportunities for business growth and service improvement
- Ensure effective resource planning and utilisation
- Maintain strong governance, risk management, compliance and health & safety standards
- A valid driver’s licence
