Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the regional financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a trusted business partner to executive leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Drive financial performance through accurate forecasting, reporting and analysis.
- Support acquisition, divestiture and joint venture opportunities, including funding and tax structuring considerations.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with South African tax legislation, including VAT, payroll taxes and other statutory requirements.
- Manage tax submissions, audits and regulatory reporting.
- Oversee compliance, ethics and business-practice processes across the region.
- Maintain and regularly update financial policies, controls and governance frameworks.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare annual financial statements and manage the external audit process.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal reporting standards.
- Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, budgets, forecasts and cash flow analysis.
- Prepare board reports, shareholder updates and executive presentations.
- Maintain a robust internal control environment and safeguard company assets.
Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
- Review budgets, forecasts and management accounts across the portfolio.
- Analyse business performance, identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
- Support operational teams with financial insights to improve decision-making and profitability.
- Monitor and report on key financial and operational performance indicators.
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, mentorship and support to regional finance teams.
- Develop finance talent and promote best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
- Foster collaboration and strong working relationships across the wider finance function.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)).
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
- Industry experience will be highly advantageous.
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Extensive experience in:
- IFRS reporting and group consolidations.
- South African company law.
- South African tax legislation and compliance.
- Financial statement preparation.
- Managing external audits.
