Regional Distribution, Warehouse and Fleet Manager vacancy in Durban KZN for a leading company in Logistics, Warehouse & Freight sector. Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring effective fleet management aligned with RTQS and RTMS, with well-prepared justifications for commercial fleet purchases, including regional assets.
- Managing internal sales team and ensuring excellent customer service
- Managing raw materials warehouses and teams to Polyoak standards
- Investigating all customer returns, delivery failures, and incomplete loads with effective communication
- Compiling motivated annual budgets and maintaining them within budget parameters
- Implementing systems to reduce, measure, and manage costs effectively
- Actively managing morale and employee engagement
- Reporting monthly benchmarks of logistics ratios and operating costs
- Maintaining excellent inter-branch relationships as a solution provider
- Ensuring FSSC, ISO, and company standards are maintained
Requirements
- Relevant Supply chain degree essential
- Computer literacy (MS Office) essential; with advanced Excel skills advantageous
- SAP experience advantageous
- At least 10 years’ experience in warehouse and distribution/transport industry; 5 in management
- Knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles (mechanical and maintenance)
- Experience in the FMCG advantageous
- Lateral thinking and ability to manage array of tasks simultaneously
