- Collect, analyse, and maintain accurate cost and expense information.
- Develop and maintain data accumulation systems.
- Plan, record, and review variable costs.
- Compare standard and actual costs and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare budget reports and assist with forecasting.
- Analyse profit margins and provide detailed reporting to management.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Evaluate and improve cost accounting processes and systems.
- Prepare reports and commentary on cost trends.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new projects, products, and process improvements.
- Support regional branches with accurate financial insights and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIMA qualification.
- 2–3 years' experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
- Strong financial reporting, analysis, and management experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel between regional branches.
