About the Role
We are looking for a driven and results-focused Regional Business Development Officer (RBDO) to grow sustainable glass cullet recoveries across the Inland regions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new recovery opportunities, developing suppliers and collection networks, expanding regional recovery infrastructure, managing stakeholder relationships and implementing projects that increase glass recovery volumes.
This is a field-based role requiring extensive regional travel, strong relationship-building skills and a commercial approach to business development.
Key Responsibilities
Cullet Recovery & Business Growth
Identify and develop new glass recovery opportunities across the assigned regions.
Grow cullet intake by developing new collection sources and expanding existing supplier volumes.
Manage a pipeline of opportunities and ensure targets are achieved.
Develop practical recovery solutions for under-served and high-potential areas.
Support suppliers with growth plans, operational guidance and ongoing engagement.
Data & Performance Analysis
Maintain accurate regional glass recycling and supplier performance data.
Develop regional forecasts based on historical performance, supplier activity and project pipelines.
Identify underperforming areas and implement corrective actions.
Track regional performance against recovery targets and improvement plans.
Prepare regular performance and progress reports.
Projects & Infrastructure
Identify and propose projects that can increase cullet collections and improve recovery access.
Implement approved projects and monitor milestones and outcomes.
Identify suitable locations for glass banks and ensure they are effectively utilised.
Support initiatives that improve collection infrastructure and supplier capability.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Identify and source new collectors, agencies, suppliers and strategic recovery partners.
Develop new cullet sources from initial identification through to activation and performance monitoring.
Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.
Engage with local authorities, community councils, collectors, agencies and internal stakeholders.
Remove barriers to recovery and identify opportunities to improve regional collection performance.
