- The Recruitment Screening & Support Coordinator provides structured screening, coordination and administrative support to the iStore recruitment team. The role supports two Recruiters by managing high-volume first-level candidate screening, assessments, candidate communication, interview coordination, recruitment administration and accurate system updates.
- The role is expected to apply sound judgement rather than only process administration: identifying candidates who meet the core requirements, recognising gaps or risks, escalating exceptions and ensuring suitable candidates move through the recruitment process efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen CVs and applications against approved vacancy criteria, including experience, qualifications, location, availability and role-specific requirements.
- Conduct initial telephonic, video or structured screening where required and capture clear screening notes.
- Provide day-to-day recruitment administration support to two iStore Recruiters across their vacancy portfolios.
- Use approved screening questions and criteria consistently across candidates and vacancies.
- Identify suitable candidates for Recruiter review and clearly motivate why the candidate meets the core requirements.
- Identify and flag concerns such as unexplained gaps, job-hopping, salary misalignment, location constraints, qualification gaps or other material risks.
- Search and filter candidate databases or recruitment platforms when additional candidate sourcing support is required.
- Support high-volume retail campaigns by processing applications at a pace without compromising screening quality.
- Escalate borderline or unusual profiles rather than rejecting potentially suitable candidates without Recruiter input.
- Assist Recruiters with ad hoc recruitment-related administration required to keep vacancies moving.
- Maintain vacancy trackers, candidate lists, interview schedules and recruitment documentation.
- Schedule interviews between candidates, Recruiters and Hiring Managers and manage changes when required.
- Maintain warm, professional communication that reflects the iStore and Core Group employer brand.
- Monitor candidates moving through screening, assessment, interview and pre-employment stages.
- Support recruitment projects, campaigns and peak recruitment periods across iStore.
- Develop knowledge of iStore roles, store structures and recruitment standards to improve support quality over time.
- Identify recurring administration delays, candidate drop-off points or system issues and raise them with the recruitment team.
