We are seeking a friendly, professional, and well-presented Temporary Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our office, you will create a positive and welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and guests while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to provide exceptional front-desk support in a fast-paced office environment
What you’ll do
- Open and prepare the office each morning, ensuring facilities and equipment are ready for the day.
- Manage the reception area and switchboard, serving as the first point of contact for visitors, guests, and incoming calls.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, Microsoft Teams messages, and general enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Welcome visitors, coordinate boardroom bookings, and provide exceptional front-desk support.
- Process maintenance requests, update employee records, and assist with general office administration.
- Coordinate staff lunch orders, courier collections, parcels, and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate staff, vehicle, and office-related records.
- Escalate guest and customer complaints to the relevant operational stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager and wider business as required.
- Ensure the office is secured and closed appropriately at the end of each business day.
- Maintain a professional, organised, and customer-focused reception environment at all times.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a corporate or fast-paced office environment.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Professional, well-presented, and confident manner.
- A friendly, approachable, and customer-focused personality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with employees, visitors, suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities.
