This is a varied and multifaceted positionthat will suit someone who enjoys being involved in different aspects of a business.
The successful candidate will provide direct administrative support to management, oversee HR administration for employees and take responsibility for health and safety compliance across the operation.
Personal Assistant & Administration
Manage diaries, appointments and travel arrangements.
Screen and respond to telephone calls, correspondence and enquiries.
Prepare, format and proofread letters, reports, contracts and business documents.
Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up on action points.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
Liaise with suppliers, service providers, consultants and visitors.
Assist with ordering office and administrative supplies and petty cash.
Provide general administrative support to management.
HR Administration
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
Assist with employment contracts, appointment letters, warnings and termination documentation.
Coordinate employee onboarding, induction and safety orientation.
Maintain attendance, leave and overtime records and liaise with payroll.
Assist management with disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable South African labour legislation and agricultural sector requirements.
Coordinate training, skills development and Employment Equity reporting where applicable.
Handle employee queries professionally, fairly and confidentially.
Health & Safety
Act as the appointed Health & Safety Representative.
Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify potential hazards.
Maintain health and safety files, risk assessments and SOPs.
Investigate and document incidents, accidents and near-misses.
Assist with COIDA claims and incident reporting.
Coordinate PPE requirements and health & safety training.
Monitor compliance relating to machinery, tractors, chemicals and hazardous substances.
Maintain fire, emergency evacuation and first-aid arrangements.
Coordinate health & safety committee meetings and report findings to management.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 – essential
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Personal Assistant, Offi
