Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Receiving Supervisor - JHB (Kew) Start Date: 2026-08-24 - 2026-09-23 Vacancy Type: Permanent PE003839 Sectors: Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse & Freight Location: Gauteng , JHB - Central Salary: Brief: dispatch|distribution|inventory|logisitics|manager|receiving|stock control|supervisor|warehouse Our client, based in JHB (Kew), is seeking an experienced and hands-on Receiving Supervisor to oversee the efficient receipt, checking, recording, and movement of incoming stock and materials. Detail: Requirements: Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse or stock- control supervisory role. Strong knowledge of receiving and inventory-control procedures. Experience working with stock, purchase orders and delivery documentation. Good computer literacy and experience using stock/inventory systems. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to supervise, motivate and manage a small team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Previous experience in promotional products, manufacturing, retail, branding or a related environment would be advantageous. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate all receiving activities and ensure deliveries are received accurately and efficiently. Check incoming goods against purchase orders, delivery notes and expected quantities. Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, damage and discrepancies. Ensure all received stock is accurately captured on the relevant systems and documentation. Coordinate the correct labelling, identification and storage of incoming stock. Liaise with suppliers, procurement and internal departments regarding shortages, incorrect deliveries or damaged goods. Ensure receiving areas are organised, clean and maintained to operational standards. Monitor stock movement from receiving through to storage and production. Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to incoming goods. Supervise and allocate work to receiving staff and ensure productivity and accuracy. Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and stock-control processes. Assist with stock counts, reconciliations and investigations into discrepancies. Identify opportunities to improve receiving processes, efficiency and accuracy.
