Position Overview

  • The Rates & Integration Administrator is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timely management of product content within Tourplan NX. This includes the administration of supplier contracts, rate loading, quality control, and supporting internal teams. The role also involves contributing to system integration projects and driving process improvements to increase operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Ensure that all content in Tourplan NX is accurate, up to date and aligns with the company standards.
  • Load and maintain rates, special offers, supplier details, commissions, and trading terms & conditions.
  • Accurately interpret supplier contracts and enter the details into the system, ensuring completeness and compliance with company standards.

Quality Control

  • Conduct thorough checks on all loaded data before it becomes available to consultants and sales teams.
  • Ensure all products are correctly configured to avoid operational or pricing errors.

Internal Support

  • Provide effective support to in-house sales and reservations teams.
  • Assist promptly with all rates-related and Tourplan system queries regarding both owned lodges and contracted third-party suppliers.

Systems Integration & Automation

  • Collaborate with the Project Management Team to investigate and implement Tourplan-related system integrations and automations.
  • Document implementation steps, conduct testing, and maintain integration functionality post-launch.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Experience reading and interpreting supplier contracts in Tourplan NX
  • Strong understanding of rates, mark up and commission structures
  • Good geographical knowledge of Southern and East African regions
  • Proficient in Tourplan; familiarity with WETU and Supplier Connect is advantageous.
  • Computer literate and comfortable navigating complex reservations systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A qualification in Travel and Tourism or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the travel industry, preferably in a similar role.
