- A very established Contractor, is seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors with 3–10 years' experience in the building construction industry for opportunities in Gauteng and Cape Town.
- They are looking for commercially minded professionals with strong technical knowledge of construction cost management, contractual administration and project financial control.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- 3–10 years' relevant experience within the building construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, budgets and financial control.
- Knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management and tender processes.
- Experience with interim valuations, payment certificates, variations and final accounts.
- Understanding of construction contracts and contractual documentation.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying and construction software.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and bills of quantities.
- Monitor project expenditure and maintain cost control.
- Manage procurement and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare and assess interim payment valuations and certificates.
- Assess variations, claims and additional costs.
- Monitor project cash flow and financial performance.
- Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts.
- Manage final accounts and contractual documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams.
- Identify potential cost risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
