Our client is seeking a Quality Intern to join their Engineering and Quality department for a 12-month internship / learnership programme . This opportunity is suited to a candidate who is currently studying towards a Quality-related qualification and is looking to gain practical workplace exposure in quality processes within both an office and workshop environment.
The successful candidate will support quality administration, inspections, document control, data capturing, filing, audit preparation, non-conformance reporting and corrective action follow-ups. The role also offers exposure to ISO 9001 quality management standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with quality inspections and checks in the workshop and office environment.
- Support the Quality Supervisor and relevant departments to ensure quality procedures are followed.
- Record inspection outcomes and escalate quality concerns where required.
- Maintain quality documentation, records, registers and templates.
- Capture and update quality-related information using Excel, Word, Rework and other office applications.
- File, scan and organise quality documents in line with internal procedures.
- Assist with audit preparation, inspections and internal reviews.
- Support non-conformance reporting and corrective action follow-ups.
- Interact with production, suppliers, customers and auditors where required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must currently be studying towards a Quality-related qualification.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Interest in quality, engineering, manufacturing or operational processes.
- Willingness to learn and gain practical workplace experience.
