MAIN PURPOSE
The position is required to monitor and verify quality assurance standards in order to ensure products produced by the company are fit for use by the customers and comply with product specification thus ensuring a consistent high-quality product or service is rendered, to co-ordinate SHE inspection, inductions and P.P.E issues and to maintain good manufacturing practices and ensure hygiene standards are followed.
Duties & Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for
•Monitoring and maintaining the quality management system.
•Compliance to the forestry management system. (FSC)
•Co-ordinating trials of new products, raw materials and other materials.
•Identifying risk in production, finished goods and raw material areas through daily line inspections.
•Conduct internal audits and completing finding and report.
•Conduct good manufacturing, safety monthly inspections and hygiene check for site.
•Manage control of non-conforming material within production areas.
•Follow up on issues raised from line audits.
•Ensure equipment remains in calibrated status
•Assist to investigate customer complaints and SHE incidents.
•Manage and co-ordinate P.P.E. ordering and issuing with SHE officer.
•Ad hoc tasks.
•Manage cleaners and their activities as per the schedule.
•Induction of new employees
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Matric
•Excellent knowledge of ISO quality assurance standards, principles, policies and procedures.
•Effective QMS e.g.,ISO 9001 knowledge and practical experience; HACCP knowledge.
•Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
•Analytical skills - ability to solve basic problems.
•FMCG/converting experience.
•Syspro knowledge
•Verbal/Written English language proficiency and Excellent computer skill
Business skills
•Intermediate computer skills in MS Office
•Ability to monitor the application of quality assurance procedures and coach staff in quality techniques as required
•Effectively communicate ideas, problems and information related to quality assurance.
•Understanding the relationship between an effective and quality assurance system and customer satisfaction.
•ISO 9001 (Understanding and knowledge)

•Risk management (Basic Knowledge)
•Basic Quality Control Tools;
>Check Sheets: Data collection & analysis
>Cause and Effect Diagram/ Fishbone Diagram/Ishikawa Diagram: Relationship between a given effect and all identified causes of that effect
