Start free — we apply for you →ROLE PURPOSE Lead assurance and control activities across the project's Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Piping construction works, ensuring that all executed work conforms to approved designs, codes, specifications and statutory standards. The QA/QC Officer ensures that that critical intervention points are implemented, and that fully traceable, audit‑ready quality records are compiled to support handover, commissioning and final project close‑out. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan and associated QA/QC procedures, in alignment with the Company's quality management system and project requirements. Review and approve Contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and check sheets to ensure that all critical intervention (H, W V, R) points are correctly identified and covered. Conduct internal audits and Contractor quality audits to confirm ongoing compliance with QA/QC processes and verify the effectiveness of Contractor quality management systems. Verify material conformance through review of mill certificates, batch records, material test certificates, concrete cube results, compaction results, coating and galvanising certificates, and welder qualification records. Monitor and verify welding quality, NDT scope and results, hydrostatic and pressure testing, coating and painting inspections, and dimensional and alignment checks. Read and interpret structural and piping isometric drawings, GA drawings, P&IDs and 3D models (Navisworks) to confirm construction compliance and support clash and constructability reviews. Raise, track and close out Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Instructions, punch lists and corrective and preventive actions, and escalate systemic or repeat quality failures to the Construction Manager. Maintain accurate, organised and retrievable quality records, inspection reports, test certificates and turnover documentation, and compile discipline‑specific Quality Data Books for handover. Verify calibration status and validity of Contractor measuring, testing and inspection equipment. Support mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning and commissioning teams with verified quality documentation, walkdowns and punch list clearance. Interface with Contractors, Package Engineers, vendors, third‑party inspectors and site supervision to resolve quality issues without compromising schedule integrity. Promote a proactive quality culture on site through toolbox engagements, coaching, quality alerts and lessons‑learnt communication. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly quality performance reports, KPIs, NCR statistics and trend analyses to project management. Comply with and enforce all applicable SHE requirements, standards and statutory obligations while carrying out quality duties on site.
