Duties & Responsibilities

Products

• Bulk packaging, palletizing & conveying

• Industrial vacuum systems

• Dry product mixing and dosing

• Vertical mill and mill parts

• Stretch hood film

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, servicing and repair of industrial machinery

• Perform basic mechanical fault-finding

• Assist with the removal and installation of motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, rollers and similar components

• Carry out basic alignment and adjustment of mechanical components

• Assist with conveyor maintenance and repairs

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly

• Perform basic drilling, grinding, cutting and fitting work where required

• Understand basic mechanical drawings and equipment layouts

• Assist senior technicians and millwrights with machine installations and breakdowns

• Cutting, grinding, drilling and general metalwork specifically relating to building of equipment (manufacture packing equipment for the cement and tile adhesive industry)

• Assisting technicians with machine installations and breakdowns on site

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

• Completed Matric – essential

• Completed relevant Degree / Diploma (Qualified Boilermaker) – essential

• Own transport with a valid drivers license – preferred

• Must be willing to travel regularly, including to remote client sites

• Must be well spoken and able to engage at all levels

• Fluent in English. Proficiency in Afrikaans would be a plus

• Strong Co2, arc welding and fabrication skills

• Ability to read basic technical drawings

• Cutting, grinding, drilling and general metalwork

• Experience with machinery repairs and modifications

• Able to measure accurately and work independently

• Good problem-solving and practical mechanical ability

• Willing to assist technicians with machine installations and breakdowns

• Interest and willingness to learn fitting and turning

• Prepared to develop into a broader mechanical/maintenance role over time

• Reliable, hands-on and willing to work as part of a team

Package & Remuneration

The Package: We’re looking for a talented Qualified Boilermaker to be based permanently in Longmeadow, Edenvale. The pay range on offer is a CtC (benefits included) between R15 000.00 to R17 300.00 Per Month, based on skills, tech experience and qualifications.
