Our client is looking for a trade-tested, hands-on Fitter to join their dayshift team. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work and can work confidently with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
- General mechanical maintenance of plant equipment
- Pump maintenance, fitting and coupling alignment
- Correct fitment of bearings
- Alignment of sprockets, chains, V-belts and pulleys
- Maintenance of conveyor systems and bucket elevators
- Heat exchanger and boiler maintenance will be advantageous
- Mechanical fault-finding and preventative maintenance
Requirements
- Trade Tested Fitter
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Own reliable transport
- Willing to work overtime and standby when required
- Team player with a strong sense of ownership
- FMCG and automation experience will be advantageous
