Job Overview
- A reputable motor dealership in Durban is seeking a qualified and experienced Diagnostic Technician with excellent technical knowledge and strong fault-finding abilities.
- The successful candidate must be a trade-tested Motor Mechanic with practical diagnostic experience and the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
- Diagnose mechanical, electronic and electrical system faults.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems.
- Carry out repairs according to manufacturer and workshop standards.
- Conduct testing to verify successful repairs.
- Assist with complex technical problems when required.
- Complete job cards and technical reports accurately.
- Maintain high workmanship and workshop safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified, trade-tested Motor Mechanic.
- Proven automotive diagnostic experience.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic fault-finding knowledge.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.
- Good attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary: R18,000–R25,000 per month, negotiable.
