Start free — we apply for you →Key Duties:Operate CNC Machinery: Operate automated beam line machinery, such as Voortman or Ficep systems, to cut, drill, punch, and cope structural steel.Read Technical Drawings: Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and job orders to ensure the correct measurements and specifications are applied.Quality Control: Inspect completed steel components to ensure they meet the required tolerances and project specifications.Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting, cleaning, and routine daily checks on the machinery to minimize downtime.Safety: Adhere to strict workplace health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE when working in a heavy industrial environment.
