Start free — we apply for you →Purpose of Role The Protection Services Reaction Officer is responsible for the accountability for the management of the site in the absence of the Protection Services Reaction Supervisor on site. The responsibility of this role is to monitor the security operations for the TM Process Operations and Product Movement. Responsibilities include ensuring the protection of property, assets, and people. Role Context Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Render a specialized operational support and assistance function during intelligence driven operations. Stabilize serious crime incidents. Combat public violence. Assist with Public Order Policing events. Direct and monitor crime operations /projects and combat serious and violent crimes. Manage the smooth day-to-day running of the relevant unit to ensure profitability. Ensure that all check and balances are in place regarding product movement. Ensure compliance with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights. Ensure the Security monitoring of product in transit and to the end destination. Ensure good housekeeping at all security posts. Ensure compliance to the company’s security objectives. Ensure compliance to the company’s access control procedures. Ensure compliance to the company’s security objectives. Physical response to all Security related incidents. Protecting classified, proprietary, and sensitive information. Perform duties as Drone Operator according to TM ROC and SA Aviation requirements. Record keeping of drone operations with e-mail reporting to the Operations Lead. Safekeeping and maintaining of all drone equipment. CCTV reviewing and investigation as per directive from Protection Services Management. Perform general administrative duties and/or any other duties as required by management. Life-Saving Behaviours . Be aware of and commit to the Life-Saving Behaviours and Fatal Hazard Protocols. Comply with the Life-Saving Behaviours and the Safe Work procedures and requirements, which apply to you. Ask questions and seek clarification as needed. Challenge any behaviour, which does not comply with Life-Saving Behaviours. Report all unsafe situations and act – remove, tag, or tape out area as an immediate action. Ensure effective reporting systems exist for people to raise concerns about Life-Saving Behaviours. Respond to after - hour incidents. Respond to after - hour security and safety incidents with the permission of the Operations Lead. Immediate telephonic and e-mail report to the Operations Lead following the response. Preparation and Servicing of Drone Equipment Bi-weekly (Sunday 12:00 – 15:00) preparation and servicing of the drone equipment.
