- Design and develop protection and control systems for electrical networks
- Perform protection coordination and fault level studies
- Configure and commission protection relays and control equipment
- Develop single-line diagrams, protection philosophies and technical documentation
- Support substation, renewable energy and critical infrastructure projects
- Conduct system testing, validation and troubleshooting activities
- Review relay settings and protection schemes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Protection & Control Engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems
- Experience with protection relays and associated control systems
- Knowledge of protection coordination studies and fault analysis
- Experience with transmission, distribution, substations or renewable energy projects
- Ability to produce technical reports and engineering documentation
- Familiarity with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar software advantageous
Qualification
- BEng, BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering
- ECSA registration or working towards registration advantageous
- Additional training in Power Systems, Protection Engineering or Relay Configuration advantageous
