Proposals Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Introduction

We are actively looking for a Proposals Engineer to join our client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and compelling proposals, contributing to the growth and success of the organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the sales team and technical experts to understand client requirements and develop customized solar energy solutions.

2. Conduct feasibility studies, detailed design analysis, and system optimization to design robust and cost-effective proposals.

3. Prepare well-structured and accurate proposals, including scope of work, project timelines, technical specifications, and commercial terms.

4. Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.

5. Evaluate and analyze customer RFPs (Request for Proposals) to determine project feasibility and develop winning strategies.

6. Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as engineering, procurement, and finance, to ensure proposals are aligned with operational capabilities.

7. Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging solar technologies to enhance proposal quality and competitiveness.

8. Review and participate in the pricing strategy for proposals, ensuring competitiveness while maximizing profitability.

9. Maintain a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and other supporting materials to facilitate the proposal development process.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 3-5 years of experience in the solar industry

• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in pv systems, solar analysis tools, and relevant industry standards.

• Proven track record in developing and delivering successful proposals for solar projects.

Package & Remuneration

R 30 000 - R 35 000 CTC per month (depending on experience)
