Are you a detail-oriented Proposals Engineer with a passion for renewable energy? Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is looking for an experienced professional to join their team and play a key role in securing exciting Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Commercial Solar PV projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals for BESS and Commercial Solar projects.
- Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
- Review tender documentation, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Develop accurate project cost estimates, pricing models, and bid documentation.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, project management, and sales teams to compile competitive proposals.
- Evaluate project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate bid submissions, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is compliant.
- Engage with clients during the tender process and respond to technical clarifications.
- Maintain proposal templates, pricing databases, and tender documentation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
- 3–5+ years' experience as a Proposals Engineer, Tender Engineer, or Bid Engineer within the renewable energy industry.
- Proven experience preparing and managing tenders for BESS and Commercial Solar PV projects is essential.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, project costing, and commercial proposals.
- Excellent knowledge of tender documentation, contract requirements, and bid management.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively under pressure.
Package & Remuneration
R650 000 - R750 000 CTC per annum
