Our client is a well-established and highly regarded Renewable Energy EPC company with an exciting opportunity for a Proposals / Tender Engineer to join their growing team.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys the commercial and technical aspects of renewable energy projects and has a strong interest in tendering, proposals and client engagement .
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals for renewable energy projects.
- Manage the end-to-end tender submission process, ensuring accurate and competitive submissions.
- Review tender documentation, specifications and client requirements.
- Liaise with clients and internal technical, engineering and commercial teams to develop suitable solutions.
- Assist with technical costing, pricing and preparation of BOQs where required.
- Conduct technical evaluations and identify project requirements and risks.
- Prepare professional tender documentation, presentations and supporting schedules.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain technical information and quotations.
- Ensure proposals are submitted accurately and within strict deadlines.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide support throughout the proposal process.
- Keep up to date with developments and opportunities within the renewable energy market.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering – preferable.
- Previous experience in proposals, tenders or bid management , ideally within the renewable energy, electrical or EPC environment.
- Strong understanding of technical tender documentation and commercial proposals.
- Excellent client liaison and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and project requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
- A proactive, analytical and commercially minded approach.
Package & Remuneration
R650 000 CTC per annum - R850 000 CTC per annum
