An international leader in mining and mineral processing equipment is seeking a Proposal Engineer to support technical sales and tendering activities across Africa. Duties & Responsibilities
Education
- BEng Mechanical Engineering
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Mining or mineral processing sales experience
- Mechanical engineering background
- Experience compiling tenders and technical proposals
- Strong customer engagement and commercial awareness
Duties
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for mining equipment solutions.
- Analyse customer requirements and develop fit-for-purpose equipment selections.
- Compile capital cost estimates, scope documents and proposal packages.
- Engage with clients to understand operational challenges and project requirements.
- Coordinate proposal activities with engineering, procurement and manufacturing teams.
- Conduct equipment sizing and performance evaluations.
- Perform tender reviews and commercial risk assessments.
- Prepare presentations and technical submissions for customer engagements.
- Support regional sales teams during tender negotiations and contract finalisation.
- Maintain proposal databases and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
