Job Advertisement: Proposal Design Engineer (Solar)
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Design Engineer with proven experience in solar PV systems . The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical proposals, designing system layouts, and supporting the business development team in securing new projects. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and competitive solar PV system designs and proposals.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield calculations.
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and layout designs using AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to ensure proposals meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical support during tender submissions and client presentations.
- Stay updated on solar technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in solar PV design and proposal engineering.
- Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar design software.
- Strong knowledge of SANS codes, IEC standards, and local grid regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
