Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to rental enquiries and conduct apartment viewings with prospective tenants.
  • Assist with tenant application processing and documentation under supervision.
  • Support credit and affordability screening activities.
  • Participate in Ready To Let (RTL) inspections to understand pre-letting standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in IPM’s letting and CRM systems.
  • Shadow senior letting agents through the full lease signing and handover process.
  • Handle inbound tenant queries via phone, email, and walk-in (first-line resolution under supervision).
  • Log and track tenant maintenance requests; escalate where required.
  • Assist with accounts collection follow-ups and arrears communication.
  • Support new tenant onboarding: welcome packs, building orientation, key handover.
  • Assist with outgoing inspections and deposit reconciliation documentation.
  • Maintain tenant records in IPM’s CRM system with accuracy.
  • Assist Building Managers with daily building inspections and operational rounds.
  • Support the RTL (Ready To Let) audit process: inspect, log, and track unit readiness.
  • Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests with contractors under BM supervision.
  • Assist with pre-occupancy and outgoing property inspections.
  • Maintain building logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
  • Rotate across both older and newer buildings in IPM’s portfolio for well-rounded operational exposure.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (essential).
  • South African citizen
  • Currently unemployed and available to start immediately
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and email communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally and empathetically with tenants, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Customer service-oriented with a commitment to delivering positive service experiences.
  • Ability to manage and resolve complaints effectively, calmly, and professionally.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working across multiple building and property environments.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Interest in the property management, real estate, sales, or customer service sectors.

Package & Remuneration

R7000 p/m.
