Job Title: Property and Leasing Head Start Date: 2026-08-06 - 2026-08-31 Vacancy Type: Permanent DBN000932 Sectors: Property Retail Location: KwaZulu Natal , Durban Salary: (13th Cheque + Incentives , Market related, Negotiable) Brief: lease management|leasing management|project management|property management|property manager|shop fitting management Our retail client based in Durban is looking for a seasoned Property & Leasing Manager, reporting to the BU MD, to manage their existing property portfolio, source new properties, and manage new store rollouts. Your Business related degree plus minimum of 5 years of related experience are the qualifiers to join a team of like-minded management professionals in a culturally positive and staff-centric environment. Detail: Purpose As ever growing and expanding Retail brands, the Property Head plays a pivotal role in sourcing, securing, fitting and managing all aspects relating to property and leases. Retail comprises two companies covering 3 brands that operate across the country serviced from Head Office in KZN. Ensuring that stores are opened on time and of a standard becoming of up-and-coming Retail brands. Key Performance Areas (including but not limited to): Experience engaging with landlords, from single property owners to listed landlords. Experience in reviewing leases and understanding of terms, conditions and clauses. Sourcing new store positions around the country through establishment of a network of landlords and property specialists. Negotiating with landlords of current and potential new properties. Experience managing teams, in person and remotely. Manage the shop fitting teams and installation of store fittings. Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize. Procurement of supplies in the establishment of Retail Shop stores. Basic knowledge of relevant financial and company legislation. Good knowledge of business internal controls and systems. Good knowledge of corporate governance principles and policies. Good knowledge of relevant policies and procedures. Good understanding of core business principles. Understanding of the Retail environment is beneficial. Qualifications and Experience: Business or commerce related degree or diploma At least 5 years' experience in Property and/or Lease Management Some experience or understanding of Retail Shop fitting processes. Understanding of property law. Key Competencies: Strong negotiating skills Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Good management skills. Ability to problem solve.
