Job Purpose

  • To co-ordinate Supply Chain activities for Motors and represent the Supply Chain function within the Project Core Team.

Supply Chain Management

  • Develop and effectively manage the procurement and logistics team for Motors Manufacturing.
  • Set up and synchronize Supply Chain processes vs Industrial requirements.
  • Drive key activities to ensure all conditions related to suppliers' deliveries, logistics flows, stock policy and system management are met while meeting logistics quality, cost and delivery QCD objectives.
  • Manage specific conditions for vendors ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract e.g. delivery on time in full – OTIF.
  • Responsible to pass the gate review related to Supply Chain design for quality - DFQ.
  • Develop processes to ensure the integrity of data needed to run efficient material resources planning MRP.
  • Improve the performance of the supply chain through the appropriate use of tools and techniques and promote continuous improvement.
  • Support supplier performance development.
  • Plan workload and activities to synchronise all stakeholders of the Supply Chain while maintaining service levels and reducing global inventories.
  • Undertake short term planning to coordinate line replenishment and track missing parts, in line with the maintenance plan.
  • Plan all interfaces to suppliers to ensure materials availability.
  • Coordinate Supply Chain activities related to planning changes, suppliers' changes or technical modifications with significant impact on supplier's capacity or logistics flows.
  • Provide the date of modifications applicability rank to avoid excess inventory.
  • Support Supply Chain organisation in case of critical deliveries issues at suppliers.
  • Manage Material Availability missing parts and anticipate material shortage
  • Co-ordinate all Supply Chain activities to secure the end of production Missing Parts while minimising costs and obsolete inventories.

Warehouse Management

  • Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Define Vendors' requirements regarding logistics.
  • Define warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy.
  • Define line feeding layout and kitting associated.
  • Manage continuous improvement plans for internal and external flows: key actors to enable APSYS deployment internal/external pull flow, kit sizing, logistic specification elaboration, material footprint layout etc.
  • Manage physical material flow goods reception, warehousing, picking, kitting, online replenishment, parts shipment, transport.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels.
  • Oversee the monitoring of physical stock value level and Work in Progress WIP levels

People Management

  • Prioritise resources, facilitate alignment of the team, and set and cascade KPA's.
  • Drive appropriate behaviour in line with company values through inspiring commitment, encouraging mutual support, and enabling development opportunities.
  • Champion and drive a performance culture in line with the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the organisation.
  • Proactively manage all direct reports to ensure that the strategic objectives for the function are met, managing non-performance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure that all resources within scope of control have the requisite skills and competency sets through mentorship and coaching.
  • Ensure people management practices are implemented to achieve the desired results in employee engagement, empowerment, skills development, attraction and retention of key talent, succession planning, etc.
  • Maintain an environment where employees respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all processes, procedures, and practices.
  • Become the change champion for all functional change, culture and diversity projects and programmes.
  • Implement a learning culture within scope of control.
  • Develop and execute functional and leadership skills development strategies in consultation with Human Capital Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain.
  • Post graduate qualification in Supply Chain. advantageous
  • 5 - 8 Years Experience in supply chain in an industrial / manufacturing environment including application of ERP systems e.g. SAP Supply Chain and project management
