Project Sales Engineer

A leading water treatment company is looking for a technically strong Project Sales Engineer to combine technical sales, solution design and project engineering across commercial and industrial water treatment projects.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• BTech or BSc Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent related qualification
• 25 years experience within the water treatment industry
• Proven experience in technical sales and project engineering
• Good understanding of commercial and industrial water treatment technologies
• Ability to interpret water analyses and develop suitable treatment solutions
• Valid South African drivers licence
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally internationally

Job Experience & Skills Required

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial water treatment market • Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, contractors and developers • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to order placement • Design water treatment systems based on customer requirements and water quality analyses • Perform process calculations, equipment sizing and system selection • Prepare project costings, technical proposals and tender submissions • Develop process flow diagrams, equipment specifications and project documentation • Present technical solutions and negotiate commercially to drive sales • Provide technical support during commissioning, troubleshooting and after-sales • Strong commercial awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently Advantageous: Experience with reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, softening, filtration, chemical dosing systems and tender preparation.
