- The primary purpose of a Project Manager is to ensure that the project is successfully delivered in line with defined objectives, within scope, on time, and within budget, while meeting quality and governance requirements.
Duration of Contract: Six 6 months. Minimum Requirements Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Project/Programme Management
- Bachelor's degree in Project/Programme Management will be an added advantage.
Work Experience
- 10 Years' experience in Project Management
- 10-15 Years' experience in Project Management will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities Financial
- Manage the project budget to deliver the milestones in accordance with the approved budget
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Monitor expenditure and control costs
- Ensure financial accountability and value for money
Stakeholder
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones
- Identify resource requirements and project dependencies
- Identify key stakeholders and define engagement strategies
- Communicate regularly on project progress and challenges
- Manage expectations and secure stakeholder buy-in
- Clearly define and control project scope
- Manage scope changes through formal change control processes
- Prevent scope creep and ensure alignment with original objectives
- Manage service providers' performance
- Ensure contractual obligations are met
Internal Processes
- Develop and maintain project timelines
- Track progress against milestones and deadlines
- Take corrective action to address delays
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
- Report to governance structures e.g. Project team and Steercom
- Identify, assess, and document project risks
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans
- Actively manage and resolve issues as they arise
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Assign tasks and monitor performance
- Foster collaboration and accountability
Learning and Growth
- Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards
- Perform reviews and validations
- Track project performance using KPIs and metrics
- Prepare status reports for management and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and change management
