About the Role

Manager: Revenue Management Consulting (Project Manager)

Various Locations Across South Africa: Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Limpopo, Northern Cape and KwaZulu-Nata

The Manager is accountable for the leadership and end-to-end delivery of consulting projects across the Revenue Operations and Recovery Business Units. The role integrates project management, management consulting, client relationship management, financial and commercial oversight, risk management, and team leadership to ensure that engagements achieve agreed-upon outcomes, enhance client performance, and deliver sustainable value. The Manager acts as the key delivery interface between the Associate Partner, Senior Manager, consulting teams, clients, and specialist support functions, ensuring effective collaboration, disciplined execution, optimal resource utilisation, and the achievement of project objectives.

Duties Overview

  • Lead the planning and implementation of complex management consulting projects.
  • Translate client business challenges into structured workstreams, deliverables and implementation plans.
  • Develop project plans covering scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, budgets, risks and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary consulting teams and ensure effective utilisation of project resources.
  • Manage project delivery against agreed scope, time, budget, quality and client expectations.
  • Provide structured analysis and practical recommendations to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor project financial performance and support the achievement of project profitability targets.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
  • Establish effective relationships with client stakeholders and maintain confidence in the Company’s delivery capability.
  • Support the Senior Manager in identifying opportunities for additional work and client account growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge transfer across project teams.
  • Ensure that project outputs contribute to measurable and sustainable client outcomes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification in Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Public Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management or another relevant field.

Postgraduate Qualification- Advantageous

  • A postgraduate qualification at NQF Level 8 or higher in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Public Management, Engineering, Strategy or a related field is strongly preferred and will provide a competitive advantage.

Required Professional Certification

  • PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Equivalent recognised project or programme management certification.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years of progressive project management experience in management consulting, advisory, operations, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from mobilisation through implementation and close-out.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, risks and deliverables.
  • Experience preparing and managing project budgets and monitoring project financial performance.
  • Experience preparing project performance reports for management and clients.
  • Experience managing senior client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience working in complex organisational environments involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in management consulting will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience in revenue management, revenue enhancement, debt management, financial sustainability or operational improvement will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in business process improvement and implementation projects.
  • Experience supporting proposals, tenders, business development or expansion of existing client engagements will be advantageous.

  • The successful candidate should be able to independently manage complex projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, engage confidently with senior client stakeholders, manage project economics and translate strategic requirements into practical implementation.
  • The role requires a delivery-oriented, commercially minded and solutions-focused professional who can operate in a demanding consulting environment and take accountability for measurable project and client outcomes.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate the maturity to manage projects independently while continuing to operate within the strategic direction and oversight of the Associate Partner.
