The Refrigeration Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing refrigeration projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members, subcontractors, and third-party vendors to deliver projects according to plan. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in commercial and/or industrial refrigeration systems, project management experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple refrigeration installation, upgrade, and maintenance projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and building codes.
- Monitor and report on progress, risks, and issues, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain communication with clients, provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and refrigeration components.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Forecast and manage project budgets, costs, and margins.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in refrigeration project management (commercial/industrial).
- Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and refrigeration technologies.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety standards (EPA, OSHA, etc.).
- Valid driver's license; willingness to travel to project sites
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in refrigeration or HVAC project management.
- Refrigeration or projects Qualification is (essential )
- PMP or similar project management certification (preferred)
