?Project Manager- Buildings (QS/HVAC )

This is an ideal opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer looking to take the next step into project management. Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related built environment field.
  • 510 years' relevant experience in a QS, mechanical/HVAC engineering, or similar built environment role this role is an excellent entry point for professionals looking to transition into project management.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel, Word).
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling and project management software (e.g., MS Project) will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with tender processes and contract administration (e.g., JBCC).
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SACPCMP, PMI) will be advantageous.
  • Experience in digital coordination and collaboration using ACC will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Setup

  • Develop project execution plans, including project schedules and timelines.
  • Facilitate the appointment of the professional team in consultation with the client.
  • Set up communication and management systems.

Coordination & Design

  • Coordinate inputs from all stakeholders.
  • Manage design development in line with project objectives.
  • Ensure the design fits the budget and timeline.
  • Facilitate integration between different disciplines.
  • Monitor and control change management.

Procurement & Contracts

  • Manage tendering and appointment of contractors.
  • Prepare and manage contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procurement and health and safety legislation.

Construction & Delivery

  • Monitor construction progress and quality against the project schedule.
