This is an ideal opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer looking to take the next step into project management. You'll work alongside experienced project managers, building your coordination, contract, and leadership skills while applying the technical grounding you already have.

Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related built environment field.
- 510 years' relevant experience in a QS, mechanical/HVAC engineering, or similar built environment role this role is an excellent entry point for professionals looking to transition into project management.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel, Word).
- Working knowledge of project scheduling and project management software (e.g., MS Project) will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with tender processes and contract administration (e.g., JBCC).
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., SACPCMP, PMI) will be advantageous.
- Experience in digital coordination and collaboration using ACC will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Setup
- Develop project execution plans, including project schedules and timelines.
- Facilitate the appointment of the professional team in consultation with the client.
- Set up communication and management systems.
Coordination & Design
- Coordinate inputs from all stakeholders.
- Manage design development in line with project objectives.
- Ensure the design fits the budget and timeline.
- Facilitate integration between different disciplines.
- Monitor and control change management.
Procurement & Contracts
- Manage tendering and appointment of contractors.
- Prepare and manage contracts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant procurement and health and safety legislation.
Construction & Delivery
- Monitor construction progress and quality against the project schedule.
