Project Management Specialist: Sunbet

Job Scope: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, schedules, resource requirements, and deliverables to guide the project team effectively Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and aligned with SunBet goals Manage the execution of projects from initiation through closure, ensuring that project objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget Track, capture and document all project interactions, issues, decisions, and resolutions to maintain transparency, accountability and a clear audit trail Monitor project progress continuously using appropriate project management tools, and adjust plans and schedules as necessary ensuring timely completion Identify and proactively manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation and contingency plans to minimise potential disruptions Facilitate effective communication across all levels of the project, serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, team members, and external partners Prepare and deliver detailed status reports, presentations, and project documentation to inform stakeholders of progress, changes, and outcomes Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards, by implementing quality assurance processes and conducting regular reviews Lead post-project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and share best practices for future projects Recommend and implement improvements to project management methodologies and processes, contributing to the continuous enhancement of the SunBet’s project delivery capability Assist in the development and maintenance of project management standards, templates, and tools to promote consistency and efficiency across the organisation Facilitate project governance and compliance by ensuring projects adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards Keep up to date with Sunbet product knowledge and all client-facing technology Qualification: Degree in business management/ project management/BCom Certification in project management preferred Experience: 6-8 years’ experience managing and delivering on business projects, using recognised project methodologies, and related change management Experience overseeing multi-functional project teams Demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: Agile Project Management tools such as Asana, Jira/Greenhopper, Trello, Monday.com or equivalent Online gaming and sports betting industry exposure is preferable Behavioral Competencies: Collecting & Evaluating Information (conceptualising, analysing) Deciding Manage customer and stakeholder relationships Applying expertise and technology Contextual Reasoning Emotional Maturity Initiating Action Organising and coordinating resources Managing risk & measuring results Collaborating Embracing Change Technical Competencies: Project management Digital acumen Financial & Business Acumen Proficiency in Asana or other project management tools Proficient computer skills Networking skills Knowledge on sports betting and online gaming Equity Preference will be given to employees from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998, SISA internal recruitment policy as well as units employment equity plans.
