Qualifications / Certifications required
- CASA, CFA or finance-related bachelor's degree
- Financial modelling certification beneficial
Experience required
- 3-5 years project finance experience
- Experience in project finance advisory, infrastructure transactions, debt raising, refinancing and/or PPP transactions
- Experience across energy, water, and transport sectors
Responsibilities of role
The successful candidate will have an execution-focused project finance dealmaker role within the team and be responsible for the following activities on a day-to-day basis:
Project Management
- Manage multiple workstreams and engagements to ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency;
- Coordinate with client teams, providers of finance, legal advisers and other project stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow;
- Take ownership of day-to-day transaction execution; and
- Support senior team members in managing overall engagement delivery.
Financial Modelling
- Build financial models based on industry best practice;
- Translate requirements of project agreements into the financial models;
- Develop realistic scenarios and sensitivity analysis and interpretation thereof in the context of the project;
- Run sensitivities for investors and lenders as required;
- Prepare outputs and analysis for investors, lenders and clients as required; and
- Coordinate with model auditors to ensure structural integrity, tax and accounting compliance.
Project Finance
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of limited recourse funding structures;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the infrastructure market and a strong interest in developing sector specialisation;
- Demonstrate an understanding of public-private partnerships;
- Support / advise clients in raising finance for infrastructure projects;
- Prepare necessary project marketing materials including but not limited to information memoranda, teasers etc., as well as other materials for potential investors and lenders;
- Support the preparation and negotiation of term sheets; and
- Review and analyse commercial agreements and financing documentation.
Infrastructure mergers and acquisitions
- Leading the compilation of key transaction documentation including teasers, information memoranda, management presentations, bid documentation and investment committee papers.
- Support clients on acquisition, disposal and strategic review mandates in the infrastructure sector; and
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate input from relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Proposals
- Prepare proposals and pitch materials;
- Support and manage internal risk assessments, compliance processes and engagement setup; and
- Contribute to business development initiatives and market research.
Team Contribution
