Introduction

Integrate multidisciplinary engineering and ensure that scopes, designs, inspections, testing, commissioning and handover meet the project's technical and acceptance requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, mining and specialist engineering inputs and maintain clear technical boundaries and interfaces.
  • Review technical scopes, design bases, drawings, specifications, calculations, contractor submissions and technical deviations before release.
  • Support both project supervisors in developing complex scopes of work, measurable deliverables, technical acceptance criteria and tender clarifications.
  • Coordinate design reviews, constructability reviews, technical adjudications and resolution of multidisciplinary interface constraints.
  • Define quality requirements, ITP hold points, inspection and test plans, FAT/SAT requirements, certificates and completion evidence.
  • Coordinate mechanical completion, testing, commissioning, performance verification, punch-list closure and technical handover documentation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Engineering degree/diploma with professional registration or eligibility appropriate to the technical responsibilities.
  • Minimum 10 years in multidisciplinary mining, shaft, process-plant or heavy-industrial project engineering.
  • Demonstrated scope development, design review, technical adjudication, inspection, testing and commissioning experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable MHSA, SANS, OEM and engineering-quality requirements.

Legal Requirement

Candidate will be required to undergo a medical examination of fitness as per the Mine’s requirements.
