Complex engineering delivery suits someone who thinks analytically, communicates clearly and remains composed when priorities shift. You are comfortable making informed decisions, resolving technical problems and guiding others while keeping clients, stakeholders and project teams aligned around deadlines, quality and practical outcomes.
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
Taking projects from initial planning through design, implementation and final delivery, you will build schedules, estimate costs and coordinate people, equipment and materials. You will review drawings and specifications, resolve technical issues, manage risks and budgets, and oversee workshop fabrication and assembly. Regular client updates, quality control plans, technical manuals, project Databooks and progress reports will keep delivery visible and accountable.
Where you'll be doing it
Based within a head office projects department, this role works closely with project managers, administrators, document controllers, design teams and workshop personnel. The organisation delivers engineering projects involving fabricated and assembled equipment, with a strong focus on technical compliance, quality management, safety and dependable client delivery.
What you'll need
A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, supported by three to five years of engineering experience, is essential. Strong engineering fundamentals, project planning, budgeting, risk management and technical communication skills are required, along with proficiency in 3D engineering design and project management software. Experience with workplace safety, QA/QC requirements and ISO 9001. 2015 is important. Postgraduate study and professional engineering registration are advantageous.
