Role Overview
The role is focused on day-to-day installation coordination, contractor performance monitoring, target tracking, accurate feedback and reporting, action follow-up and escalation management.
Purpose of the Role
- Coordinate the daily installation workflow across allocated phases, sectors and contractors.
- Monitor contractor targets versus actual installation output and drive timely recovery actions when targets are missed.
- Ensure accurate daily feedback, reporting and project trackers are maintained and submitted on time.
- Maintain visibility of the installation pipeline, backlogs, snags, no-access cases and operational constraints.
- Act as a central point for administrative escalations and ensure outstanding issues are followed through to Resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Installation Coordination: Confirm contractor and team allocations, rollout areas, daily targets and available installation work. Monitor progress during the day and follow up where production is behind plan.
- Contractor Performance: Track each contractor against agreed daily, weekly and monthly targets. Obtain reasons for missed targets, request recovery plans and escalate recurring underperformance.
- Feedback and Reporting: Obtain complete daily feedback on successful installs, failed installs, incomplete work, no-access cases, cancellations, snags and other exceptions. Keep master trackers accurate and current.
- Installation Pipeline Management: Track leads and installation opportunities from allocation through to completion, identify unworked or ageing items, and ensure sufficient work is available to support field capacity.
- Escalation Management: Log operational escalations, assign an owner and required resolution date, follow up continuously and escalate overdue or high-risk matters to the Project Manager.
- Quality and Snag Monitoring: Maintain snag and remedial-action records, ensure contractors receive corrective work lists and follow up until defects are closed within agreed timelines.
- Stock and Readiness Coordination: Identify stock, network-readiness, resource or community constraints that may affect installation output and escalate these before they materially impact daily targets.
- Field and Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain regular communication with supervisors, contractors, quality teams, stock/logistics, technical support and sales or lead-generation teams to resolve dependencies.
- Meetings and Action Tracking: Prepare performance information for operational meetings, record decisions and actions, track owners and due dates, and escalate overdue commitments.
- Project Administration: Maintain accurate records, contractor correspondence, performance data, escalation logs and action trackers to support project governance and management reporting.
