- Supervise and lecture in isiXhosa and other African languages in the department of African languages.
Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning
- Lecture isiXhosa and methodologies at undergraduate, and PGE at postgraduate level.
- Lecture African languages at Honours level.
Research
- Conduct research and publish at least three accredited research units.
Supervision
- Supervise postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and at PhD level.
Academic Citizenship
- Contribute positively to the departmental administration duties.
- Participate in departmental/faculty activities/committees.
- Provide guidance to junior colleagues.
Community engagement
- Participate in community engagements outside of the university.
Minimum requirements
- PhD in African Languages
- Ten 10 years' of experience as Lecturer
- Ten 10 years' experience in curricular design
- Teaching of isiXhosa
- Ability to conduct credible research
- Supervision of PG students
