- Grade 12. Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice 425, i.e., diploma/degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse with midwifery or equivalent including operating theater experience not less than two years.
- A post basic qualification (Operating theatre, midwifery, ICU or Trauma and Emergency) with the duration of at least 1 year diploma in any of the specialties will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 9 years appropriate/ recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing.
- South African Nursing Council annual practicing certificate (2026). Verifiable proof of experience. Strong leadership, good communication and sound interpersonal skills are important.
