Opportunity for an individual with a strong sense of ownership, practical management skills, and the drive to work with the management team to take the farming operation forward sustainably.
The ideal candidate will have broad exposure to Maize, Wheart and vegetable farming, with the ability to manage different production divisions
Requirements: 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role Strong practical knowledge of vegetable farming Experience in crop production Knowledge of wheat, maize, onions, beetroot, carrots, and potatoes Good staff management and leadership abilities Mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving abilities Responsibiities: Overall management and coordination of daily farming activities Plan, implement and monitor production across various enterprises Management of wheat, maize, beetroot, carrot, onion, and potato production Managing staff performance, discipline, and productivity Overseeing the maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, and mechanisation Identifying opportunities for improvement regarding production, costs, and efficiency Working closely with the owner on planning, decision-making, and strategic development
