Our client in Montague Gardens, Cape Town , within the manufacturing industry , is seeking a permanent Production Clerk / Labeller . The successful candidate will be responsible for production administration, product and raw material labelling, inventory control, production documentation, ERP transactions, and maintaining accurate stock records and batch traceability. What You Need

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a factory, production, stock control, inventory, or data capturing environment.
  • Experience using a computer system/ERP system .
  • Experience with stock and inventory control .
  • Experience with labelling products will be an advantage.
  • Basic to good Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
  • Good with numbers and able to spot mistakes.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Able to work on your own and as part of a team.

What You Will Do

  • Print and prepare labels for raw materials and finished products .
  • Check that labels have the correct:
  • Product name
  • Product code
  • Batch number
  • Manufacturing date
  • Expiry date
  • Receive and record raw materials and stock .
  • Give the correct stock to the production team when needed.
  • Keep stock records up to date.
  • Check stock levels and report any differences or problems.
  • Make sure older stock is used first ( FIFO ).
  • Complete production paperwork and records.
  • Capture production information on the company's computer/ERP system.
  • Check production quantities and make sure batches are correctly completed.
  • Assist with monthly and yearly stock counts .
  • Help investigate stock differences.
  • File production documents and keep records organised.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with general administration.
  • Follow all factory safety, hygiene, food safety and housekeeping rules .
  • Make sure all products can be properly traced using their batch and production information.
