A well-established company in the paint and coatings manufacturing industry is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Assistant to join its production team in Killarney Gardens.
The successful candidate will provide general support to the production team, assisting with raw materials, production activities, material movement, cleaning and housekeeping.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Production Technicians with daily production activities.
- Fetch, move and prepare raw materials as required.
- Assist with weighing and handling of raw materials.
- Load and unload materials.
- Move raw materials and finished products to designated areas.
- Assist with mixing and production activities under supervision.
- Clean production equipment and work areas.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised production area.
- Ensure materials and equipment are stored correctly.
- Follow production instructions and procedures.
- Wear and maintain required PPE.
- Report spills, hazards, damaged equipment or other issues to the supervisor.
- Support the production team with general manufacturing duties.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
- Perform other reasonable production-related duties as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 / Matric preferred.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse or general work will be advantageous.
- Paint, coatings or chemical manufacturing experience will be advantageous but not essential .
- Physically fit and able to perform manual duties.
- Comfortable working with and moving materials.
- Able to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good attention to detail.
- Safety-conscious.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willing to work in a manufacturing/production environment.

Package & Remuneration
Salary: R12,000 per month
